Housing

When housing Delma's you must take into consideration the size of the lizard as they will escape through a 2mm gap.
Mine are housed in a 4 foot fish tank divided in to three separate area with a perspex & Mesh lid tightly locked .
Substrate is red desert sand with plastic grass tussocks and a rock hide or fake termite mounds.
This is heated with under the glass heat cord or heat tape and a nocturnal red light

Water

Water should always be provided for drinking as well as Misting some legless lizard like to lick up water droplets from the fake grass in the enclosure
Some Lizards like to soak in there water dish to help with sheading of ther skin.
The water dish must not be to deep as they can drown in deep one's, from useing there energy up to get out, or you can put a rock in it to over come this.

Diet & Supplements

All my Burtons are on mice pecieces and not on skinks.
My Delma's are on small crickets and arthropods.
Hatchlings NEVER give Meal Worms.
Woodies or feeder roaches, crickets, arthropods are a good soarce of food.
I like to feed my woodies & Crickets on moist caret just before feeding them to the lizards so they get fluid from there feed.
Supplements
Dusting as it is known, food dusted with calcium or vitamin powder is a must for a good healthy lizard every second feed.
This can be done by putting the food in a container or bag and adding a small amount of either
calcium or vitamin powder and giving a shack to mix the food with the powder

Lighting & Heating

Most Legless lizard are mainly Nocturnal ,but some are Diurnal so a night a red globe is good for the nocturnal lizards.
One of the most important features of an indoor enclosure
Is a UVB full spectrum light (this is not a heat source.)
But provides UVB rays or wavelengths similar to that of the sun, which will help against Metabolic Bone Disease and help with the growth for a healthy Juvenile lizard,
It must be placed no more than 30cm from base of enclosure or the basking area,
As the further away the weaker the wavelength is.
Lizards require another form of heat source,
Either a heat mat or basking light both should be control by a thermostat, with a part of the enclosure cooler than the other.
